FOR THE COMMUNITY

GM CANADA TO PROVIDE 10 MILLION FACE MASKS

The Government of Canada has contracted General Motors of Canada to provide 10 million face masks over the next year. GM Canada will manufacture the face masks at cost at its Oshawa Operations for the Public Health Agency of Canada. Scott Bell, GM Canada president and managing director said, “This is one of the proudest moments in our history to be able to step-up and support all Canadians during this challenging time.”

GM Canada received its Medical Device Establishment License on April 22 and the company built and installed the mask making machinery, sourced materials and trained its workers in approximately one month.

OUR DEALERS ARE HERE FOR YOU.

We need each other more than ever. Here’s how our dealers across Canada have gone the distance for their community:

  • Zach Kennedy from the Edwards Garage team in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, donated $3,000 to their local foodbank.
  • Craig Dunn paired-up with their local Rotary Club to provide a GMC Terrain to assist staff volunteers with the pick-up and delivery of 175 orders of groceries to at-risk individuals.
  • The Wolfe Automotive Group in Alberta launched a “helping hands” program to pick-up and deliver groceries for seniors and at-risk individuals in Edmonton, Calgary and Canmore.
