HOW TO USE FRONT SEAT POWER LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT

Lumbar support helps put the seat occupant in a position that supports correct posture. Learn the benefits of correct posture and how to operate the power lumbar adjustment, if equipped.


BENEFITS OF CORRECT POSTURE WHEN SEATED

  • Improves comfort
  • Decreases back pain
  • Decreases fatigue levels for the driver, which may help improve concentration and reaction times
  • Helps achieve better head motion and breathing

OPERATING THE SEAT POWER LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT

Not applicable to the Multi-Way Seat with the Centre Stack Display.

1. Locate the Lumbar Adjustment button on the outboard side of the seat.

2. Use the button to adjust the seat power lumbar until it is enough to support the natural curve of the lower back and spine.

OPERATING THE SEAT POWER LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT WITH THE MULTI-WAY SEAT WITH THE CENTRE STACK DISPLAY

1. The ignition must be set to On/Run or ACC/Accessory.

2. Locate the round selection control on the outboard side of the seat or, on some vehicles, on the door panel.

3. Turn the round selection control (on some vehicles, the inner up/down paddle of the switch) to view the Seating Control Display on the centre stack display — the adjustment options are illustrated for added clarity.

4. The round selection control adjusts the power lumbar; adjust it until the lumbar in the seat is enough to support the natural curve of the lower back and spine.
