ABOUT ULTRAVISION

Displays a front view with available guidelines based on your steering wheel input.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Useful for parking and in tight maneuvers
• Off-road driving: Useful for avoiding obstacles in front of the vehicle or to see over hill crests
  

Displays a rear view in REVERSE and adds available guidelines based on your steering wheel input.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Assists with parking and tight manoeuvres
• Off-road driving: Useful for avoiding obstacles behind the vehicle or to see over hillcrests when in REVERSE
• Trailering: Lets you use Hitch Guidance, which can help line up your hitch to your trailer (not available in CrabWalk Mode)
  

Displays the position of the front tires.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Useful for parking and in tight manoeuvres
  
• Off-road driving: Useful when traversing over obstacles/rocky terrain and to view the exterior tire sidewalls  

Provides a line of sight down either side of the truck looking back from the external rearview mirrors.

• When a trailer is connected, you’ll see a split view of the left and right sides of the truck and trailer
  
• While driving forward or backward with a trailer, the view automatically biases based on the trailer’s angle (not available in CrabWalk Mode)
  
• When you use a turn signal with a compatible trailer attached, a full-screen side rearward view is shown. Additionally, when enabled and driving forward with the turn signal activated, the Trailer Length Indicator displays a red overlay twice the length of the compatible trailer (not available in CrabWalk Mode)

When to use it:

• Normal driving: Helps you avoid traffic and obstacles approaching behind the vehicle, such as when changing lanes
  
• Off-road driving (no trailer connected): A view of the middle of the vehicle is useful when traversing over obstacles/rocky terrain and to see the exterior tire sidewall
  
• Assists with tire placement when rock crawling or in CrabWalk
  
• Trailering: Useful for avoiding obstacles when making a turn while a trailer is connected. Shows you when other vehicles are present and may interfere with your lane-change manoeuvre
  

Provides a top-down, bird’s-eye view of your vehicle’s surroundings.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Helps detect objects in the way while you’re manoeuvreing at low speeds or parking
  
• Off-road driving: Helps you detect and avoid objects in the way while you’re off-roading for more precise manoeuvreing. Can be used to view the horizon if the vehicle is aimed too high to see over the hood (going forward). Great for driving through narrow passes or tight turns by allowing views of the areas around the vehicle simultaneously

Provides a close-up view of the receiver hitch. The parking brake is automatically set when the vehicle is shifted back into PARK to help hold alignment in place.
When to use it:

• Trailering: Helps ensure proper alignment when connecting to a trailer with a conventional hitch

Combines Side Rearward View with Rear Trailer View. Note that this view does not bias like the stand-alone Side Rearward View.
When to use it:

• Trailering: Can help keep an eye on the areas on the side of and behind an attached trailer for greater confidence (e.g., during lane change with a trailer attached)

Uses a customer-installed auxiliary camera available from GMC Accessories mounted on the rear of a compatible trailer to show vehicles or objects behind the trailer.
When to use it:

• Trailering: Assists when backing the trailer into place

Uses a camera in the Centre High-Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) to allow you to see inside the bed.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Allows you to check on cargo while driving to ensure it is secure
  
• Off-road driving: Assists when “overlanding,” such as when camping with lots of gear in the truck bed

Uses a tailgate-mounted camera and a customer-installed auxiliary camera available from GMC Accessories on the rear of a compatible trailer to help you virtually “see through” a compatible trailer to view objects or vehicles behind it (not available in CrabWalk Mode).
When to use it:

• Trailering: Useful for monitoring hard-to-see traffic behind the trailer — a benefit when navigating parking lots, merging into traffic or making tight turns

Provides a forward-looking view of the area under the vehicle, facing toward the front tires.
When to use it:

• Off-road driving: Helps the driver place the tires on an object to drive over them at low speeds or to straddle objects. Useful for viewing the interior tire sidewalls  

Provides a rearward-looking view to the rear tires.
When to use it:

• Off-road driving: Helpful in CrabWalk and to avoid large rocks that may strike the underbody of the vehicle

When to use it:

• Off-road driving: Helps provide a scene of the area underneath the truck and further in front of the truck (not visible in just Forward Underbody View) to avoid obstacles during off-road events

When to use it:

• Off-road driving: Designed for extreme rock crawling when placement is crucial. Helps you see all four tires under the truck at once, without having to toggle back and forth between views. Useful for precise tire placement on rocky terrain  

Provides an overhead picture of the hood, bumper and front tires.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Useful for tight manoeuvres in parking lots or along curbs
  
• Off-road driving: Adds “tire tubes,” which show the path of the tires (instead of body guidelines; not included in CrabWalk). Can help monitor distance and approach angle to obstacles. Designed to enable more confident manoeuvres and easier positioning of the front tires

Shows the clearance between the truck bed and nearby objects.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Designed to help you manoeuvre more precisely and avoid objects when reversing, such as when backing into a parking space against a wall
  
• Off-road driving: Similar to Front Top-Down benefits but allows for better positioning of the rear of the vehicle when in REVERSE

Uses a camera to provide you with a wide and less obstructed view behind the vehicle while you’re driving. You can switch between the camera view and a traditional rearview mirror by pushing or pulling the tab under the inside rearview mirror. The driver can also adjust the tilt and zoom, and the brightness of the display.
When to use it:

• Normal driving: Helps you see around visual obstructions within the vehicle cabin. Assists with driving, changing lanes and checking traffic conditions
