Note: Up to 18 camera views are available on GMC HUMMER EV Pickup models. Up to 17 camera views are available on GMC HUMMER EV SUV models. Some camera views require available accessory camera and installation. Not compatible with all trailers. See your dealer for details.

UltraVision is available on 23MY GMC HUMMER EV models equipped with the Z6X Extreme Off-Road Package only. It is standard on all 22MY GMC HUMMER EV Pickup Edition 1 models.

HOW TO GET STARTED

  1. Press the Camera icon on your centre display to access the Camera app.
  2. When you enter the app, you may see the following, depending on your vehicle:
    • Icons representing different views along the bottom of the screen
    • A camera view displayed in the middle
    • If your vehicle has available Surround Vision and you have the feature enabled, you’ll see a Surround View/Overhead/Top-Down View of your vehicle on the left side of the screen (this view will consistently display when you’re parked or driving at low speeds)
    • Surround View uses cameras mounted on the outside rearview mirrors. If you open a vehicle door while this view is displayed, you’ll notice a black field on the overhead view where that camera view would normally be

UNDERBODY CAMERA SYSTEM

GMC HUMMER EV features an underbody camera system designed to give you a view of the terrain below the truck to help you navigate around obstacles without damaging your vehicle or tires, serving as a "virtual spotter."

  • The system consists of two wide-angle lens cameras covered with a clear lens protector. One faces forward, toward the front wheels. The other faces rearward, toward the underbody and rear wheels
  • These cameras can help you monitor wheel spin and specific tire placement in certain off-roading scenarios. They can also help you avoid obstacles underneath the vehicle, like rocks

HOW TO USE THE UNDERBODY CAMERAS

Through the Camera app on your centre display, you can toggle back and forth between the front and rear underbody views. You can also select a split-screen view that displays both the front and rear underbody views.

1. Pressing the split-screen button multiple times will toggle between a split of two views:

  • The front grille camera with Underbody Forward View
  • Underbody Forward View with Underbody Rearward View

Note: If equipped, Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert overlays are not available when split-screen views are selected.

2. You can view the underbody cameras while driving.  You are most likely to use these views when in Terrain Mode. Remember: Speed is limited to 50 mph in Terrain Mode

Notes:

  • When you select an underbody camera view and stay below 8 km/hr, the selected view will not change while shifting between FORWARD and REVERSE gears. This is designed to help you stay focused on particular areas below the vehicle. If you go above 4.9 km/hr after shifting out of REVERSE, the camera app will close. You can reopen the app if needed when this happens
  • The lenses on the underbody cameras are replaceable in case of damage

ADDITIONAL UNDERBODY CAMERA FUNCTIONS

  • Wash nozzles: To help remove dirt from the underbody camera lens protector, each camera is equipped with a wash nozzle you can activate on demand — helping to keep mud or debris from diminishing the quality of the view or performance of the system
    • To activate the nozzle, press the Camera Wash icon on the Underbody Forward/Rearward view on your infotainment system. You can press and hold the icon for an extended wash
  • Skid plate protection: In addition to the lens cover over the cameras, the skid plates on the underbody of GMC HUMMER EV are designed to offer protection for the lenses
